What began as a hobby and outside interest has developed into a successful and highly respected computer software, internet and graphic design group.
AdvancedGroup.net
originated in 1976 as PB_Computers. Patrick Fanning, owner, wrote children's software and custom data base business applications as a sideline. Through the years his reputation and quality of service brought in larger and more complex jobs.
In 1995 he teamed up with Bill Hannan (programmer)
and Lynn Lancaster (graphic designer and owner of Advanced Graphics), to complete a client-server fundraising
software program. Based on the success of their team efforts, the following year they decided to formalize the partnership and incorporated under the name Advanced Software Development Corporation (ASDC).
As ASDC grew,
a new means of transferring information was becoming popular: the internet. With their combined programming and graphic design skills, the development of web sites was a natural progression for the team. Within a year it became apparent that there was a need for high quality hosting capabilities which would accommodate the technically sophisticated, data driven web sites being created by ASDC. Resources in northern NJ were limited, so Lynn and Patrick decided to form another company which would provide the servers and hosting capabilities for these web sites. In November of 1996, Advanced Networking & Communications Corp. (ANCC) was formed.
Through the years
new members joined the team. By the end of 1999 all 3 companies had grown rapidly and developed many areas of mutual interaction. We needed a single home in which we could combine our resources. So in March of 2000 we moved to our current location in Augusta, New Jersey, and decided upon our new name: AdvancedGroup.net.
